In 2022–2023, World AI X was selected by the Jordanian Government, in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), to lead a full-scale AI strategy and capacity-building initiative across 18 of Jordan’s most influential ministries. The goal was bold: assess national AI readiness, upskill public sector leadership, and craft tailored AI transformation strategies for each ministry.
We began by conducting a comprehensive diagnostic of each ministry’s digital maturity, data infrastructure, and AI use case potential. Using our proprietary assessment framework, we developed custom AI roadmaps aligned with each ministry’s mission, operational gaps, and national priorities. This was paired with an executive education component to build internal capacity and drive adoption from the top down.
Key Outcomes:
3,450+ government professionals trained in AI leadership, policy, and technical foundations.
27% uplift in AI literacy and strategic alignment across ministries.
450+ AI initiatives identified and launched across 12+ sectors including healthcare, education, finance, energy, and social development.
This engagement helped establish a unified AI vision across government, enabling cross-ministerial collaboration and setting the foundation for long-term innovation. The project is now regarded as a regional model for public-sector AI transformation.
